To Whom It May Concern: 

I took a road trip this past month on my 2009 FLHTC. On day two of the trip outside Flagstaff, AZ my engine check light came on. I needed to get it checked out to determine if it needed immediate repair or could wait until after the return from my road trip. 

Stopped by several HD dealerships on my way through AZ and CO that were unable to assist me (tech!; notavailable, too many requests ahead of me for "out of town emergency service, etc.) until I came upon the Black Canyon dealership in Montrose, CO. They were able to diagnose the problem for me which turned out to be a problem with my throttle. They were unable to get the needed part for 5 days so they called ahead to the Grand Junction dealership for me to see if they had the part on hand. Turned out they did and the Grand Junction dealership was able to fit me in the following morning for the repair.


Kudos to Robert McCarty and the Black Canyon staff in Montrose for treating an "out of town emergency" the way it should be, immediately and efficiently with the goal to get you back on the road ASAP. Kudos also to the staff in Grand Junction for having the part on hand and for the timely repair.

Comments/Questions: While on my way from Denver to the HOG Rally in St. George, UT, I had some trouble with my security system on my 08 Electraglide Ultra Classic yesterday, and determined the battery in the fob needed to be replaced. Everyone I dealt with at your dealership made me feel welcome and treated me very well. My home dealer never went through the security system override procedure with me. After I replaced the battery, I went to your service department to ask if someone could show me what to do should the need ever arise again. Tracy in your service department took me through the procedure. I did not know what code was set, and assumed there was a default factory setting. She told me that the dealer sets this code. I called my home dealer, and their default code did not work. I then remembered that my dealer brought my bike in from Pueblo, so Tracy called them and found that they set the code to the last 5 numbers of the VIN. She really went the extra mile for me. There are not enough superlative words to express my appreciation for my overall experience today at your dealership, and Tracy in particular. I tip my hat you you all. THANK YOU! Ira Kopilow

"I had my rear brakepads burn out on me in the middle of a 3500 mile road trip. I limped it in to your service center where it was made a priority repair until it was discovered that they were out of stock on the Sportster brakepads. The service writer & one of your techs helped me find a local place that had the pads in stock, gave me directions & told me if I had any problems with them to bring them back & they would install them. It's this kind of customer service that makes the Harley brand a measuring stick for others to only hope to duplicate. So, thank you for being one of the good guys! BTW, I spent more for a sweatshirt & hoodie that day in your store than I would have for brakepads:)"

"I have had Tony Z work on my bike a few times now and he is the best mechanic i have ever had work on anything. My most recent was 10k tune up that i passed 2 harley dealerships to get there. Now i live in arizona but am planning to come back and have them cam my bike. Its nice to find a mechanic that you trust 100%. Tony Z is the best."

I had a 10K service performed and Chris was thorough before the service in asking questions and took the time to discuss the technicians notes and everything that had been done after the service. He answered all my questions and I learn more about my bike every time I visit GJ Harley. I was very impressed and left the dealer satisfied that my bike was in top notch condition which it was. "Mr. Sauer, First, let me thank you and the service staff at GJ Harley for the courteous, professional service that was provided to us on our way back to Arizona from Sturgis. My bike was having some problems and you were able to take a look at it right away. Even though we had the fuel pressure regulator issue after the fuel line was fixed, you and the service tech stayed after hours to get the bike back on the road. You and the staff went above the normal customer service, and for that, my wife and I thank you. The rest of our trip back to Arizona was full of great sights, and no issues to worry about. Thanks to Grand Junction Harley our trip was great with minimal down time. Not every Harley dealer gives the kind of customer service that you did, so if you or your shop ever need an honest recommendation about your great service, please give them my name.
